Please join Brasa Restaurant
in welcoming
Enrico Drei Dona of Drei Dona Tenuta La Palazza.

Claudio Drei Dona's family estate is dedicated to producing the finest expression of Romagna Sangiovese.  Brasa will be pouring the 2007 Rosenere d'R Bianco,  2005 Il Tornese (chardonnay), 2006 Notturno Sangiovese, and the flagship wine 2003 Pruno Riserva. As a special treat we will also show their 1998 Graf Noir, a wine made only in exceptional years from a blend of Sangiovese, Uva Longanesi, and Cabernet Franc.

All wines will be available to order from
City Cellars Fine Wines the night of the event.

Tamara is still working on the menu but hoping to show the first of spring's treat. Look for nettles, fava beans and whatever else we can forage and find, for the dinner.

Monday April 28th at 6:30 PM

Limited seating, advance reservations required.
Call Brasa 206-728-4220 to reserve.

More about Drei Donà:

The Drei Donà estate is located in the ancient romagnan hills between the towns of Forĺ, Castrocaro and Predappio. The "La Palazza" farmhouse was built around a watch tower constructed by Caterina Sforza in 1481 in a strategic position on the gentle slopes of Massa di Vecchiazzano to defend her lands. The property has been in the hands of the Drei Donà family since the last century and has always been dedicated to producing Sangiovese grapes, but has undergone a radical transformation under the present owner, Dr. Claudio Drei Donà.
After acquiring a law degree and working in the insurance industry, Dr. Drei Donà together with his son Enrico, has dedicated his focus solely to the property, decisively guiding its activities towards increasingly higher objectives, enlisting the aid of the renowned Franco Bernabei and his son, Marco. Most of the 23 hectares of vineyards are planted with Sangiovese grapes which were indigenous to the property. These old

vines have been studied, selected and propagated to maintain La Palazza's original clones.
The estate's first wine, "Pruno" is produced from these Sangiovese grapes along with a second wine "Notturno". In addition to Pruno and Notturno we produce, from two smaller vineyards, the Chardonnay "Il Tornese" and the Cabernet Sauvignon "Magnificat". From another tiny .85 hectare vineyard we produce "Graf Noir" from four grape varieties, but only in exceptional years.
Our working philosophy is extremely rigid: the wines that we produce are the result of hard work in the vineyard ensuring the highest quality grapes are grown and that these grapes are carefully fermented and aged in our modern cellars producing a wine that is a true expression of the Massa di Vecchiazzano Romagnan "terroir".
